- Q: Why are the Kickoff Welcome Days in August only half days?
- A: Our Kickoff Welcome Days are the way we ease students into the school year. They allow us to get to know students better by only having half the students attend at a time, and they help students get used to the new school setting by starting slowly with half days.
- Q: I'm concerned about my work schedule and childcare during Kindergarten Kickoff. How can I plan ahead?
- A: We want to give you as much time as possible to plan for the start of the school year and to get your childcare/work schedule in place. You are able to sign up for your preference of morning or afternoon Kindergarten Kickoff days after our Orientation in May. There is a space to indicate if you absolutely need to have the morning or afternoon session for work/childcare reasons. That said, we will not be able to accommodate everyone's first choice so we HIGHLY recommend that you have backup plans in place.
- There will be a sign-up for preference of morning or afternoon kickoff days at Orientation. Again, only the first 3 days are half days, the remainder of the year is full day Kindergarten.
- After the Kindergarten Kickoff days, we begin our normal, full day schedule for the remainder of the school year.
- Students will be assigned a teacher/classroom the evening of Friday, August 18, 2023 and will begin their full day Kindergarten schedule with their assigned teacher on Monday, August 21, 2023.
